PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of providing more comfortable temperature environment in a compartment by saving costs and performing high accurate measurement. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle to control air-conditioning to adjust an environment temperature in a compartment to a setting temperature comprises a switch sensor 7 for detecting operation inputs by an electrostatic sensor 73 and detecting temperature of a finger by an IR sensor 71 with non-contact single pixel image taking when an occupant operates an operation switch with fingers, and a setting temperature calculation device 6 for changing the setting temperature from a difference between a current setting temperature and the detected temperature of the finger.
