A session change method for changing the session when the first terminal communicates with the second terminal in the packet network includes the following steps: the intercommunication control function entity for logically controlling intercommunication is preserved in the route of the initial session in the course of the initial session establishment of the first terminal and the second terminal; and when the intercommunication control function entity receives the subsequent session change request, it can perform the corresponding session change operation based on the content of the session change request.
