<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic thin film solar cell that is capable of forming a photoelectric conversion layer that can operate in the same manner as a bulk hetero junction type and has high performance using a high-mobility P-type organic semiconductor material with an excellent carrier transport property. <P>SOLUTION: The organic thin film solar cell comprises a photoelectric conversion layer 3 formed between two electrodes 1 and 2, at least one of which is optically transparent. The photoelectric conversion layer 3 is formed of a multilayer film composed of an electron-donative organic semiconductor film 4 and an electron-receptive thin film 3 that are alternately laminated.
