<p>A device for automatically inserting a flexible sealing strip (2) is mounted on a cross-movement gantry/carriage assembly, with the possibility of controlled rotation about a vertical axis and comprises: a support assembly (100) rotationally integral with a shaft, a bracket (200) which can move in a rocking (tilting) fashion about a horizontal pin (130) parallel to the general direction of advance of the device (B), a system (300), which can move in vertical translation (D), including means for delivering and advancing the sealing strip, means for cutting the sealing strip, means for inserting the sealing strip and for guiding (360) with respect to the window casement (1), means (240, 250) for pivoting the bracket and means (260, 270) for raising the system, so as to move the means for inserting the sealing strip, in horizontal and vertical directions, away from the window casement. According to the application, the flexible sealing strip (2) is an extensible sealing strip such as an exterior sealing strip to be inserted into a groove of the window casement, especially a flexible sealing strip to be inserted onto the internal face of a covering wing (flange) of this window casement and the means for continuously delivering and advancing the sealing strip bring the sealing strip up to the insertion means by following an essentially straight path between a plurality of pairs of facing rollers (331-336, 351, 352), at least one of these rollers (331, 333) being a driving roller synchronised to the advance of the head, and at least one other of these rollers, a non-driving roller, interacting with means (376) for controlling the entrainment of the sealing strip, so as to compensate for the slip (sliding) due to the elongation (stretching). <IMAGE></p> |
