An apparatus for storing a digital image is provided to search an image interlocked with character information promptly by inputting only a simple character search condition. A camera image storing unit(202) stores a camera image in a storing unit. An image index information generating unit(204) generates first index information on the camera image. A text information storing unit(210) stores text information, which is inputted from a character information inputting unit, in the storing unit. A text index information generating unit(212) generates second index information on the text information. A text information extracting unit(216) extracts text information satisfying a character search condition from the storing unit. A target image extracting unit(218) extracts a target image from the storing unit. A display data outputting unit(220) outputs the extracted text information, the extracted target information, or composite information thereof through a displaying unit. |
