BASE OIL OF REFRIGERANT OIL FOR CARBON DIOXIDE COOLANT AND REFRIGERANT OIL FOR CARBON DIOXIDE COOLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide base oil of refrigerant oil for carbon dioxide coolant excellent in stability and electric insulation property in the case of using together with carbon dioxide coolant, and having a suitable compatibility with the coolant and showing a sufficient lubrication property without increasing the viscosity of the base oil and to provide refrigerant oil.

SOLUTION: This base oil of the refrigerant oil for the carbon dioxide coolant contains the complete esters of fatty acids having 40 to 100 mol% ratio of 14-22C branched fatty acids with polyhydric alcohols. Also the refrigerant oil for the carbon dioxide coolant contains the above base oil of the refrigerant oil for the carbon dioxide coolant.
