PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor where the rigidity of a case for housing a positive electrode and a negative electrode is improved, and which is formed to be compact entirely. SOLUTION: An insulator 10 is formed by rounding across the four surfaces of the case 2. To the respective positive electrodes 20 of a capacitor main body 11; positive electrode side terminals 21 are welded respectively, and the positive electrode side terminals 21 are bundled to be one and connected electrically with a connection section 22 formed on the inner wall surface of the divided face 3A of a first side face 3 constituting the case 2. To the negative electrodes 30 of the capacitor main body 11, negative electrode side terminals 31 are welded respectively, and the negative electrode side terminals 31 are bundled to be one and connected electrically with a connection 32 formed on the inner wall surface of the divided face 3B of the first side face 3 constituting the case 2.
