PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine having a massage mechanism part provided either one of a chair body or a leg mount part. SOLUTION: When executing a reclining operation for raising a backrest part 3, if a relative angle (r) between the leg mount part 4 and the backrest part 3 is, for example, 170°, the leg mount part 4 is interlocked with the upward turning operation of the backrest part 3 to be rotationally turned downward. When the leg mount part 4 reaches a reference position, the rotational turning of the leg mount part 4 is once stopped and the backrest part 3 alone is upward rotationally turned. This machine can execute such a reclining operation that, when an upward reclining button is operated even after the backrest part 3 reaches an upright position, the leg mount part 4 is contracted and starts the downward rotational turning to rotationally turn the leg mount part 4 to an approximately vertical storage position.
