345,843. Folding invalid carriages. RICHARDS, O. O., Sidway Works, Granville Street, Birmingham. April 17, 1930, No. 12175. [Class 108 (ii).] An invalid carriage comprises the combination of a foldable frame mounted on wheels, and a telescopic body part carried at the upper side of the said frame. In one form, two side frames comprisng upper and lower horizontal members a, b and inclined or vertical members c jointed together are held in the extended position by pivotally jointed struts d. The two side frames are cross connected and carry the wheel axles e. The body part consists of a pair of telescopic parts g, h the sides and base of which may be formed of canvas or other flexible material. Preferably the base is continuous and is arranged to become pleated or folded when the part h is pushed back.
