A method and a system for displaying a traveling position of a vehicle are provided easily to detect a map matching error by displaying information related to the colors of the vehicle according to road conditions. Road map data related to a traveling position of a vehicle is extracted(S720). The color information of a vehicle symbol is determined corresponding to interval attribute information of the extracted road map data. RGB ratio on the vehicle symbol is adjusted(S730). The vehicle symbol is rendered on the road map and displayed through a display unit according to the determined color (S740). |
