The method involves designing evaluation electronics (12) of a sensor (10) in such a manner that a signal produced by the sensor is not changeable by a following transmission, where the evaluation electronics includes an amplifier having an analog to digital converter. The sensor is calibrated and/or adjusted at a place other than a subsequent measuring point or a subsequent measuring environment. An independent claim is also included for a sensor e.g. electro-chemical sensor.
