A method and a device for selecting a ground for an electric heat mat are provided actively to cope with a safety standard related to a withstand voltage test by securing high safety without the influence of problems such as abnormal current. A device for selecting a ground for an electric heat mat includes a potential plate(18), a detecting plate(19), a transistor(20), an LED(Light Emitting Diode)(21) and a battery(22). The potential plate is connected to a control circuit side of the mat, and generates an electric field according to the ground connection of a ground switch when applying power for using the mat. The detecting plate is adjacent to the potential plate, and detects the electric field generated from the potential plate. The transistor is electrically connected to the detecting plate, and is driven by the signal of the detecting plate. The LED is electrically connected to the transistor, and is turned on by the driving of the transistor when a user contacts a detecting member(24). The battery provides power. |
