A portable multimedia player applied with a stereo image camera is provided excellently to perform stereo photographing when performing local area close-up photographing, gap photographing and endoscope photographing by applying the stereo camera to the portable multimedia player, improve economical efficiency by processing the photographed images in real time through one camera application processor, and conveniently and effectively perform compression and play when storing and playing the images. In two camera modules(400,900), camera lenses(100,600), image sensors(200,700) and image signal processors are arranged in parallel. Driving modules of a physical structure where zoom-in, zoom-out and(or) camera lens angle adjustment are performed are respectively installed in the two camera modules. A camera application module(1100) comprises the followings: a camera driving module(500) for controlling the two driving modules; a stereo image processing module which successively stores image signals of left and camera modules in a buffer in order to transmit the two image signals to a display of a portable display device, arranges the stored signals and perform VGA(Video Graphic Array) and high resolution graphic image conversion; and wired/wireless modules(1200,1300) including a detachable structure where one or more of a USB(Universal Serial Bus) terminal or an IEEE1394 terminal or an RF(Radio Frequency) module or a Bluetooth module for connecting data from the camera application processor to a portable multimedia player(1400) are applied to the camera modules. A control plate(1500) performs a control operation by connecting the image signal processor(800) and left and right image signal processor(300,800) to a CPU(Central Processing Unit)(1600) of the portable multimedia player.
