FIELD: electromechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed brush gear for AC commutator machine characterized in reduced noise level has undercut commutator 1 with commutator segments 2 and current-carrying brushes 3 mounted in brush holder 4 and shifted in direction of commutator rotation parallel to their installation in radial brush holders disposed on geometric neutral through half the brush width. Radial force acting on entering edge of brush equals zero due to brush offset thereby enhancing operating stability of sliding contact and reducing radio noise. ^ EFFECT: reduced line and target radio noise in proposed commutator machine. ^ 1 cl, 2 dwg
