<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively provide illumination high in an ornamental property by light of a plurality of colors. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system 8 is structurally provided with: for instance, two light guide bodies 1 and 2 for which one end side is converged, the other end side is branched in two, and end surfaces on the other end side are used as light emitting surfaces; one LED (light emitting diode) 5 arranged by facing it to the end surface on the converged one end side of the light guide bodies; and a filter 6 arranged in, for instance, the one-side light guide body 1. For instance, when it is assumed that the LED 5 emits blue light, and the filter 6 contains a phosphor (or a phosphorescent substance) and emits yellow fluorescence (or phosphorescence) with respect to blue light, white light and blue light are emitted to an object 7 to be irradiated from the one-side light guide body 1 and the other-side body 2, respectively.
