PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw for accurately operating oscillation thereof corresponding to material of a workpiece and also accurately setting and controlling machining condition. SOLUTION: In this wire saw, a wire train is formed by winding a wire 5 around a plurality of work rollers 4 provided in a turnable oscillating disc 6 many times, and the wire 5 of this wire train is made to reciprocate or travel in one way at high speed, and a workpiece 3 is pushed to the wire train to cut the workpiece 3 into a plurality of pieces, while the wire train is oscillated when cutting the workpiece 3. The plurality of work rollers 4 are arranged so that the center shaft B structured between the plurality of work rollers 4 in relation to the rotating axis A of the oscillating disc 6 is displaced in the vertical direction of the rotating axis A inside the oscillating disc 6.
