PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for isolating an intermediate product, easily obtaining the unstable intermediate product in high yield. SOLUTION: In a reaction for obtaining in a solvent the final product via the intermediate product from a starting material, a second intermediate product being in an equilibrium condition with the intermediate product in the reaction system and greater in amount in the reaction system than the intermediate product is adsorbed to an adsorbent, and the second intermediate product is eliminated from the adsorbent while converting it to the intermediate product, thus easily obtaining the objective intermediate product unstable in general in high yield.
