摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of well performing high density recording and reproducing of information performed by laser light irradiation with a wave length of &le;440 nm, and having good optical storing properties, and to provide a method for recording the information on the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has a recording layer capable of recording the information by the laser light irradiation with a wave length of &le;440 nm on a substrate. The optical recording information medium is characterized in that the recording layer comprises a coloring matter having at least two coloring matter residues independently in the molecule and these coloring matter residues bind together without placing a conjugated bond between them.
