<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of well performing high density recording and reproducing of information performed by laser light irradiation with a wave length of ≤440 nm, and having good optical storing properties, and to provide a method for recording the information on the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has a recording layer capable of recording the information by the laser light irradiation with a wave length of ≤440 nm on a substrate. The optical recording information medium is characterized in that the recording layer comprises a coloring matter having at least two coloring matter residues independently in the molecule and these coloring matter residues bind together without placing a conjugated bond between them. In addition, the method for recording the information is characterized in that the information is recorded by irradiating the optical information recording medium with the laser light with the wave length of ≤440 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
