PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key cutting device having the precise alignment of a key blank and a clamp mechanism in a cutting key copy system. SOLUTION: The key cutting device for cutting a cutting pattern on the key blank comprises a front end formed so as to receive the key blank inserted in a length direction, a housing equipped with a top frame 24 and a base 23, and a pair of cutting heads 28 suspended under the top frame of the housing without being supported by the base of the housing. The pair of the cutting heads can move all together to the top frame and the base in the length direction parallel with the insertion direction of the key blank. Each cutting head is provided with a device connected to the cutting head so as to actively move the cutting head only in a side surface direction vertical to the length direction parallel with the insertion direction of the key blank, and a cutting wheel 29 rotatable so as to cut the cutting pattern on the key blank.
