<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a dust agglomerate free from fluctuation in strength, by grasping physical properties of each component in a raw dust which is a mixture formed of iron-containing dusts, scales and the like produced at each part in an iron manufacture process at an arbitrary rate, determining the optimum treatment condition, and manufacturing the dust agglomerate according to the treatment condition. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the dust agglomerate comprises the steps of: adding a water-soluble organic binder and water to the raw dust of a mixture of two or more iron-containing dusts produced in the iron manufacture process, and kneading the resultant mixture while adjusting a mixing period of time so that a void saturation rate for the mixture raw dust can be 80% or more; and compacting a kneaded product containing the mixture raw dust into the dust agglomerate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
