PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for display panel which is produced continuously while ensuring good conductivity by improving the single sheet filter structure, and also to provide its manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The filter 10 for display panel comprises an electromagnetic wave shield material 2, and at least one functional coating layers 3 and 4 formed on a substrate film 1. A conductive member 5 is arranged on the functional coating layers 3 and 4 at at least a part of at least a pair of opposing side edges 11 of the filter, and the functional coating layers 3 and 4 are broken at least partially between the conductive member 5 and the electromagnetic wave shield material 2, and thereby the conductive member 5 and the electromagnetic wave shield material 2 contact electrically thus ensuring conduction.
