PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a girder structure constructed under the environment that a load is applied to a girder capable of suppressing the occurrence of cracking in a concrete on the upper surface of the girder and a method of constructing the girder. SOLUTION: A bridge girder 1 is constructed under the environment that a load due to the traveling of a train is applied thereto. The bridge girder 1 comprises a construction girder 3, a wavy buried from 17, and a concrete part 7 so formed as to cover the construction girder 3 by the deposition of concrete into the wavy buried form 17. The bridge girder 1 is so designed that, before the concrete part 7 is solidified, the maximum tensile strain produced on the upper surface 7a of the concrete part 7 when the load due to the traveling of the train is applied thereto is 500μor less.
