PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual mode traffic system capable of performing the operational control in a single-track two-way direction by a dual-mode vehicle. SOLUTION: The dual mode traffic system 1000 comprises an entrance blocking means for blocking any entrance of a dual mode vehicle 100 on both sides of a track section, an entering vehicle detection means for detecting the dual mode vehicle 100 entering the track section, and an exiting vehicle detection means for detecting the exit of the vehicle at both sides of the track section, and further comprises, and further comprises a ground device having an on-rail presence determination means for determining whether or not the dual mode vehicle 100 is on-rail in the track section and a blocking-passing determination means for allowing the corresponding entrance blocking means to enter if it is determined that any dual mode vehicle 100 is not present in the track section when detecting the entering vehicle.
