PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc blade which exhibits an excellent and stable performance in cutting hard and fragile objects to be processed and a cutting device which is easy to design and exhibits an excellent and stable cutting performance. SOLUTION: A gapped cutting blade 13 is sandwiched between a first flange 2b and a second flange 2a installed on the tip of a rotary shaft 3 and fixed with a fastening nut 4 screwed down to the screwed part of the rotary shaft 3. A stationary-side rotary transformer 9a is installed on a case 11 and connected with an ultrasonic generator not shown in Fig. with lead wires. A rotary-side transformer 9b is fixed to a flange 2a with a screw not shown in Fig. The rotary shaft 3 is driven by turning on a motor. An alternating voltage for ultrasonic generation is impressed on piezoelectric elements 8a and 8b of the gapped cutting blade 13 from an ultrasonic generation circuit not shown in Fig. via the rotary transformers 9a and 9b.
