<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembling work of an electronic authentication system to a motorcycle and to achieve the efficient assembling work when assembling the system to the motorcycle. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic authentication system includes a vehicle side control unit 10 for determining whether or not the ID information of an electronic key 13 is matched with ID information on the motorcycle side, an ignition switch unit 18 for enabling engine starting operation and handlebar unlocking operation according to the matching of the ID information of the electronic key 13 with ID information on the motorcycle side, and an unlocking actuator 21 of an opening/closing lid such as a storage lid 125, and these components are mounted and fixed to a leg shield (a leg shield inner 113), and modulated.
