COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, NETWORK SELECTION METHOD USED FOR THE SAME, AND PROGRAM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of executing routing by selecting an optimum network without the need for preparing a connection profile that is statically generated.

SOLUTION: When detecting start of communication by a communication means 11, a communication detection means 12 starts a network selection means 16. The network selection means 16 collates an application characteristic database 14 on the basis of a parameter from the communication detection means 12 to reference a corresponding application characteristic. The network selection means 16 references a network characteristic database 15 to select the optimum network. The communication means 11 connects to the optimum network on the basis of a result of the selection. When a communication application 17 starts communication, the communication detection means 12 informs a communication content learning means 13 about communication contents. The communication content learning means 13 analyzes the communication contents and takes the statistic to update information of the application characteristic database 14.
