PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic camera device capable of easily reducing an error in aligning the focal positions of the right and left lenses. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic camera device includes a stereoscopic camera 10, having a pair of lenses 11 and 16 and a pair of CCDs 12 and 17 corresponding to the pair of lenses 11 and 16. A distance between the pair of lenses 11 and 16 and the pair of CCDs 12 and 17 is adjusted by a driving part 60. Image data of a specific pattern, output from the CCD 12 with its distance adjusted among the pair of CCDs 12 and 17 and image data of a specific pattern output from the CCD 17, are input to an image processing part 40, the difference between both image data is obtained in the processing part 40, and the driving part 60 is controlled based on the difference.
