A reaction device comprises any one of one unit cell consisting of a laminate of a solid electrolytic layer, a first electrode layer formed on one side face of the solid electrolytic layer and touching fuel gas on one side face, and a second electrode layer formed on the other side face of the solid electrolytic layer and touching oxidizing gas on the other side face, and an alternate laminate of the unit cells and members for forming the channels of at least fuel gas, and is equipped with a plurality of first structures for generating electric power by power generating reaction of the unit cell. These first structures are arranged fixedly by a fixing member such that adjoining structures are spaced apart while sandwiching an outer space. Total volume of the reaction device including the volume of the outer space sandwiched by the adjoining structures is 1-1OE0<SUP>5</SUP> mm<SUP>3</SUP>. Consequently, a microminiature reaction device capable of actuating rapidly a reaction device and controlling the output of the reaction device finely can be provided. |
