PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing device having improved damper effects while controlling the damper effects depending on disturbance given to a rotor. SOLUTION: Electromagnet windings 12, 13 are inserted into grooves of stator side bearing magnetic poles 6, 7, and damper electrode members 16, 17 are arranged between a rotor side bearing magnetic pole 2 and each of the stator side bearing magnetic poles 6, 7. When vibration is generated in the radial direction of the rotor 1, the direct current component of an electric current flowing in the electromagnet windings 12, 13 is increased and an alternating current component is superposed on the electric current flowing in the electromagnet windings 12, 13.
