PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pumping device of a ballast tank for a cargo ship, and a cargo tank cleaning device facilitating the operation of a ballast pump, the operation of a tank cleaning pump, and the operation of valves attached to these pumps while taking full consideration of the safety aspect. SOLUTION: The pumping device of the ballast tank for the cargo ship, and the cargo tank cleaning device of a cargo ship having ballast tanks and cleaning tanks comprise a submerged type first centrifugal pump installed in the ballast tank, a second centrifugal pump installed on an upper deck and/or a submerged type third centrifugal pump installed in the cleaning tank. A suction side of each pump is communicated with a sea chest, the ballast tank, and/or the cleaning tank, and a discharge side is communicated with the ballast tank and a tank cleaning machine.
