PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove cutting tool which facilitates the exchanging of a screw having a damaged head, eliminates the need for cutting the wiring of an electric apparatus or a measuring instrument, does not cause a power failure in exchanging the screw by eliminating the need for exchanging the apparatus or the instrument itself, and decrease the degree of a risk of an inter-line short-circuit. SOLUTION: The groove cutting tool (1) is equipped with a long tool body (2), a rotary blade (5) which is provided so that the blade edge projects to the tip of the tool body (2), a rotary blade drive mechanism (6) stored in the tool body (2), a movable wall (3) which is movably provided in the longitudinal direction of the tool body (2) so as to cover the blade edge of the rotary blade (5) in no use, and a mechanism (7) for changing the direction of the rotary blade (5) at an angle of approximately 90°.
