PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF HYDROCARBON OIL

Disclosed is a process for production of a hydrocarbon, which can reduce the content of a water-insoluble oxygen-containing hydrocarbon in a hydrocarbon oil. An alcohol having 4 or less carbon atoms is injected into a reaction product produced by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction to separate the reaction product into an oil phase and an aqueous phase, by which a water-insoluble oxygen-containing hydrocarbon contained in the reaction product can be migrated into the aqueous phase. It becomes possible to reduce the content of the water-insoluble oxygen-containing hydrocarbon in the oil phase compared to a case where the alcohol having 4 or less carbon atoms is not injected.
