PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crushing a plate surface of a used Ballard plate which enables crushing of the plate surface by making innumerable flaws thereon so that only a minute quantity of abrasion powder is brought about, and enables subsequent recycling of the plate. SOLUTION: The used Ballard plate W peeled and detached from a used gravure printing roll is wound on a base roll 12 supported by an equipment frame 11 and is held down by a one-end fixing means 13, a pair of free rotation rolls 14 and 14 and a pair of casters 15 and 15. An elevating head 17 supporting a wire brush rotating tool 16 is lowered and the wire brush rotating tool 16 is rotated and brought into contact with the used Ballard plate W so as to crush the plate surface. By alternating a reciprocating run of a traveling frame 18 and a step rotation of the base roll 12, the whole surface of the used Ballard plate W is crushed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
