<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one side recording/reproducing type optical recording medium by which good recording signal characteristics can be obtained from the second information recording layer as well. <P>SOLUTION: Two pairs of first and second information recording layers are laminated through an intermediate layer on a board. By the irradiation of a laser beam from the first information recording layer side, the recording/reproduction of the two pairs of the information recording layers is respectively performed by this optical recording medium. In the optical recording medium, the second information recording layer has at least a light reflecting layer, a coloring matter recording layer and an inorganic protective layer on the board having a wobbled protrusion on the surface. The coloring matter recording layer has at least a cyanine compound and a squalerium compound.
