PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device superior in earthquake resistance. SOLUTION: The base isolation device comprises a vertical member suspended from a ceiling and a horizontal member provided horizontally on the vertical member and turnably joined to the vertical member with a pin.
