There are provided a rear surface projection type screen and a rear surface projection type display device capable of increasing the lens pitch Lp, and the pixel pitch/lens pitch ratio Gp/Lp while suppressing moire. The rear surface projection type screen (1) includes: a plurality of pixels (15) having an outer edge having an inclined rhombic shape with respect to the horizontal direction and vertical direction of the screen of the rear surface projection type screen (1); and a renticular lens sheet (11) for diffusing the light emitted by the rear surface projection type projector so as to be within a certain angle. The plurality of pixels are arranged so that their outer edges are adjacent to one another. The lens pitch Lp (mm) of the renticular lens sheet (11) satisfies Lp >= 0.15 and the ratio Gp/Lp of the pitch Gp (mm) of the pixel (15) against the lens pitch Lp satisfies Gp/Lp >= 1.0.
