A Cheonggukjang using sunflower seeds is provided to help an eater eat various nutrients contained in sunflower seeds easily, and thus improve eater's health. A method for manufacturing Cheonggukjang using sunflower seeds includes the steps of: (1) soaking Hwangkeumkong and sunflower seeds(3:1, 4:1, and 5:1) in water for about a day, and then washing the soaked materials with water; (2) putting the washed materials into an earthenware steamer, and steaming the materials sufficiently for about 3-4 hours after steam is produced; (3) cooling the steamed soybeans and sunflower seeds to about 45-50 °C, followed by putting rice straw or a mugwort on an electric mat, spreading the steamed soybeans and sunflower seeds thereon in a height of 2 cm or so; and (4) covering the soybeans and sunflower seeds with a blanket, and fermenting the soybeans and sunflower seeds to generate a viscous material while keeping the temperature at 37-43°C. |
