A method for aggregating a plurality of data packets into a unified transport data packet (tp) is presented, whereby:
- a header (H) with an IP format is set to be the header of the transport data packet,
- said header of the transport packet precedes a payload (P) of the transport packet, wherein said payload comprises the payload and header of at least one further data packet (b1, b2, c1, c2, b3),
- the header of the transport data packet has an IP version at least as new as the newest IP format of at least one of the further data packets.
