An electro optical apparatus and an electronic apparatus are provided to maintain high optical efficiency by collecting the light from each electro optical device through a positive diffractive lens, and emitting the light to an observation side through an aperture. An electro optical apparatus includes a plurality of electro optical devices(E), a plurality of positive diffractive lens, and a light blocking layer(70). The plurality of electro optical devices(E) are arranged on the surface of a first substrate(10). The plurality of positive diffractive lens diffract the light from each electro optical device(E), and collects the bundle of light. The light blocking layer(70) has a plurality of apertures through which the diffractive light passes by each positive diffractive lens.
