<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing phosphorous by highly efficiently flocculating and settling phosphorous in water. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises converting bivalent iron ions dissolved in water into a trivalent iron ion by a method such as a method of aerating ozone from an ozone generator 4 in water, a method of irradiating them with ultraviolet light, a method of irradiating them with ultraviolet light or sunlight in a state of contact with a photocatalyst, a method of loading with an oxidant such as hypochlorous acid and a method of loading them with aerobic bacteria after dissolving iron compounds such as ferrous sulfate, ferric sulfate, ferrous chloride, ferric chloride, ferrous oxide, ferric oxide and tritetra iron oxide in water inside a treatment tank 3, thereby adsorbing phosphorous present in water to convert into water insoluble iron phosphate, and thereafter removing iron phosphate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
