PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device, capable of supporting vehicle operation so as to prevent a contact with a side-traveling vehicle in a further appropriate state by performing the support of vehicle operation in a case where a lane change to a lane in which the side-traveling vehicle is traveling is predicted. SOLUTION: When the side-traveling vehicle which is traveling in parallel with an own vehicle is detected, the own vehicle state and the circumferential state of the own vehicle are detected by a forward radar device 3, various sensors or the like. When the detected state corresponds to any one of predetermined patterns, lane change of the own vehicle to the lane in which the side-traveling vehicle is traveling or lane change of the side-traveling vehicle to the lane in which the own vehicle is traveling is predicted, and guide for preventing the contact or vehicle control for accelerator opening and brake clearance is performed to the own vehicle.
