PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form a gas bearing when operating a piston engine, in the piston engine supporting a piston by using an approximate linear link mechanism, by forming the gas bearing between the piston and a cylinder by gas supplied to the piston. SOLUTION: A Stirling engine 100 supports a high temperature side piston 102 by the approximate linear link mechanism 50, and injects the gas supplied to a hollow part PI arranged in the high temperature side piston 102 between the high temperature side piston 102 and a high temperature side cylinder 101 from an air supply port 4. A gas introducing pipe 1 supplying the gas to the hollow part PI is arranged along a first link 50A and a third link 50C constituting the approximate linear link mechanism 50.
