<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue to detect even an object moving across detectable ranges of a plurality of kinds of sensors, as the same object by an object detector wherein the sensors are combined and detect the same object respectively. <P>SOLUTION: When an object detected by one object detection system is lost, it is determined whether the object has been moved into an object detection range covered with the other object detection system or not in accordance with the loss position and a movement direction of the object. When it is determined that the object has been moved into the object detection range covered with the other object detection system, the other object detection system references information just before loss of the object which has been detected by one object detection system, as initial information to continue to detect the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
