<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely adjust the width of a concentration distribution of an image while maintaining an amplitude of the high-frequency component of an input image. <P>SOLUTION: Using a pixel value fd(x, y) of a processed image, a pixel value fuso(x, y) of the smoothing image of a first image (conversion image which undergoes gradient conversion of the input image) f0(x, y), a pixel value f1(x, y) of a second image (input image), a pixel value fus(x, y) of the smoothing (low-frequency) image of the second image, a function F() for controlling a processing effect, and coordinates x, y on the image, image processing by respective means 101-106 is carried out so as to be expressed by an arithmetic expression: fd(x, y)=fuso(x, y)+F(f1(x, y))×(f1(x, y)-fus(x, y)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
