<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smooth optical film used as the protective film or phase difference film of the liquid crystal element, that is, the polarization plate of a liquid crystal display device, reduced in foreign matter trouble, containing an additive such as a matting agent or the like in a uniformly distributed state and free from trouble such as a die line or the like, its manufacturing method, the polarization plate and the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film manufacturing apparatus for forming the optical film by a melt casting film forming method is equipped with a charger for charging a resin pellet, a resin powder or both of them before charged in an extruder when at least one kind of the thermoplastic resin pellet and at least one kind of the resin powder are supplied to the extruder and constituted so that the resin pellet, the resin powder or both of them are allowed to meet with each other after charged by the charger to bond the powder to the surface of the resin pellet. It is preferable to charge the resin pellet, the resin powder or both of them before charged in the extruder within a range of 0.5-5 kV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
