The invention proposes an apparatus for moving a first furniture part (2) relative to a second furniture part (1) using a drive unit, by means of which apparatus the first furniture part (2) can be moved relative to the second furniture part (1) in a driven manner via a control unit for controlling the movement of this first furniture part. According to the invention, the control unit is designed to disable automatic closing for the purpose of positioning of the first furniture part (2) in an open position from which the first furniture part (1) automatically returns to a closed position after a predefined closing time period.
