<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for an image forming apparatus free from the occurrence of failure that image data is lost while securing safety so that a serious secondary disaster may not be caused even when the installation posture of the apparatus gets abnormal because of earthquake or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The safety device for the image forming apparatus is equipped with: a cable take-up device for taking up a feed cable from a commercial power source; an extending detection means 182 detecting that the feed cable is extended from the cable take-up device; and a warning means 340a giving a warning if the extending of the feed cable is detected by the extending detection means when turning on a power source switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
