<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cab back cross member capable of suppressing the deformation of a cab at the time of head-on collision or rear-end collision of a cab over truck, and ensuring a cab life space. <P>SOLUTION: The cab back cross member 5 disposed between a cab under member 31 supporting the cab 3 from a lower side and a deck 4 positioned behind the cab 3, comprises a horizontal portion 39, vertical portions 40, a notch portion 41, and an energy absorbing member 37. The horizontal portion 39 extends in a vehicular width direction. The vertical portions 40 bends and extends downward from both sides in the vehicular width direction of the horizontal portion 39, and lower end portions 42 thereof are united to a chassis frame 2. The notch portion 41 is formed on the vertical portion 40, and stress is concentrated when a load in a vehicular fore-and-aft direction is inputted to the vertical portion 40. The energy absorbing member 37 is provided on the notch portion 41, and deforms with the deformation of the notch portion 41 to absorb energy when a load from a vehicle rear side is inputted to the vertical portion 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
