<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate images for a game which appropriately reflect a pointed position by securely detecting a noise light source and notifying a player of a noise light source even if the noise light source emitting invisible light hindering identification of the pointed position on the display by a pointing device is present. <P>SOLUTION: The image generating system takes pictures of identification bodies 8a, 8b as a pair of source of infrared luminescence placed on the top and bottom on a display section 190 by infrared camera 18 built in a gun-type controller 10, identifies the pointed position 30 of the gun-type controller 10 on the display section 190 based on the positions of several identification bodies contained in the images taken, and generates images for a game which reflects the pointed positions identified. This system contains a search movement instructing section 118a which displays the images taken on the display section 190 and instructs the player to change the direction of the gun-type controller 10 in accordance with the searching route associated with the display position of the identification bodies contained in the images taken, and a noise light source identifying section 118b which identifies noise light source contained in the images taken obtained while the search movement is instructed and notifies the player. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
