摘要 Cyclododecatriene-1,5,9 is obtained by polymerizing butadiene in the presence of a catalyst which is a mixture of:- (a) At least one titanium compound selected from:- (i) mono-acetylacetonato titanium trichloride; Ti(C5H7O2)Cl3, (ii) bis-acetylacetonato titanium dichloride; Ti(C5H7O2)2Cl2, (iii) tris-acetylacetonato titanium Ti(C5H7O2)3, (iv) bis-acetylacetonato titanium oxide [TiO(C5H7O2)2]2, (v) dialkoxy- or diaryloxy-titanium bis-acetylacetonate (RO)2Ti(C5H7O2)2 where R is C1-C12 alkyl or aryl, (vi) titanium benzoate TiCln(C6H6COO)4- n where n is 0 or 2, and (b) An aluminium compound R1mAlCl3- m where R1 is alkyl or aryl and m is 1 to 2. The mol ratio of Al to Ti may be 1-100:1 and reaction is effected at 0-150 DEG C. and 0-15 kg./cm.2g. preferably in a hydrocarbon solvent, which may be cyclododecatriene.ALSO:The title compound, stated to be novel, is produced by the reaction process <FORM:1016669/C2/1> <FORM:1016669/C2/2>ALSO:A catalyst for polymerizing butadiene to cyclododecatriene-1,5,9 is a mixture of: - (a) at least one titanium compound selected from: - (i) mono-acetylacetonato titanium trichloride; Ti(C5H7O2)Cl3 (ii) bis-acetylacetonato titanium dichloride; Ti(C5H7O2)2Cl2 (iii) tris-acetylacetonato titanium Ti(C5H7O2)3 (iv) bis-acetylacetonato titanium oxide [TiO(C5H7O2)2]2 (v) dialkoxy- or diaryloxy-titanium bisacetylacetonate (RO)2Ti(C5H7O2)2 where R is C1-C12 alkyl or aryl (vi) titanium benzoate TiCln(C6H6COO)4-n where n is 0 or 2 and (b) an aluminium compound R1mAlCl3-m where R1 is alkyl or aryl and m is 1 to 2. The mol ratio of Al to Ti may be 1-100 : 1.
